Niko’s personal values are principles that define him as an individual. The Niko Matawalu Academy will work on the softer skills surrounding our rugby ethos. Personal values, such as honesty, reliability, and trust, will determine how you will face the world and relate with people as you develop as a player, an athlete, and a good citizen. The academies cultural roots will help you feel connected to a larger community of people with similar backgrounds and interests.
We will surround practices so that you relate meaningfully to others in social situations from family, friends, and other players. Work values are principles that guide your behaviour in professional contexts. They define how you work and how you relate to your teammates, coaches, and opposition players. They also reveal your potential for advancement. We make no apologies for working very hard and nor should you when trying to maximise your potential.
